Sisonke SikhunyanaBased on his strong results; his proven work ethic and his resilience in the face of enormous odds - he was responsible for Grade 11 and 12 learners in maths and science; and since they had no teacher in the first part of the year he had to work very hard to help his classes. He had a tremendous impact on his classes --> a testimonial from Mr Zongwana - Head of Maths; Science and Technology in the District.
"I have known Mr SISONKE SIKHUNYANA as from 2013 he was a Dedicated student in Sidinane SSS. When we called to congratulate him Sisonke expressed his desire to become a pharmacist. Based on the above testimonials and track record Bayer Pharmaceuticals offered Sisonke a place on their internship programme (CATS) for 2016 and 2017. Sisonke relocated to JHB in February 2016 and is very happy learning about the pharmaceutical industry; and is integrating well into JHB life. www.bayer.com |
Saint Andrews College Grahamstown - internship programme2 of our teacher assistants interviewed last week (8th Sept 2016) for internship places at Saint Andrews College. We are hoping that Lennox and Ncedo will be offered places; based on their teaching experience in Maclear and Mt Fletcher; but also their commitment to teaching; as interns at SAC.
We are grateful to SAC for providing transport and accommodation to the boys; and for taking care of them whilst in GTN. Whether they are successful or not we are proud of them both for pursuing their dreams to become teachers. Each new experience broadens their outlook and enables new networks to support them in their lives. We consider SAC a valued partner in the development space - we share similar values and collaborate as often as is possible. www.sacschool.com/ |
